Probably the best value for money ultra wide DX lens around, the 12-24 is one of the most highly raved about ultra wide around. It has been very frequently compared to nikon's own AFS 12-24F4, some review have claimed that they are comparable in terms of image quality and the 12-24 even uses the same optical formula as the nikon 12-24 which cost twice as much. Frankly speaking, apart from the AFS SWM motor in the nikon which allows slightly faster focus and AF on bodies that require built in motor such as D60, D3000 and D5000, there is little marginal benefit in getting the nikon (or canon's USM for the matter). In fact many photographers actually find the tokina more solid, heavier and significantly better built than the nikon.
Another good thing about this lens, unlike some of the ultrawide lenses such as nikon's 14-24, sigma's 8-16 and 12-24, which have protruding fronts, the 11-16 does not and uses 77mm filter, a rather common and popular size, this is good news because for landscape photography the use of filters (CPLs, NDs, GNDs) often matter alot more than the quality of the lens, optically perfect lenses like nikon's 14-24 may suddenly become crippled due to being unable to use filters.
Image quality does not disappoint for sure, expect sharp images throughout the focal length range at F4, together with high contrast, this is easily attested by the high number of this lens around.
Lens in MINT condition, comes with caps.
