24-120mm F3.5-5.6G NIKON AF-S ED IF (72) AUTO FOCUS STANDARD ZOOM LENS (EX)

One of the most popular versatile travel lens for full frame nikon bodies, this lens is nikon's equivalent of canon's 24-105F4L IS. Equiped with both ED elements and VR motor, this lens provides a good range, covering from wide to tele. Together with nikon's AFS SWM motor, it ensures ultra silent focusing and fast focusing speed. Even on a crop body, it is fantastic when combined with another ultra wide DX lens, such as the 10-24 or 12-24, covering a good range.

This lens has a good built and design, with the clear window to see the focusing distance, similar to higher end lenses such as 17-35F2.8 and 28-70F2.8, unlike the more budget newer lenses such as the 18-105VR, without a focusing distance scale even. Despite the good built, the lens is lightweight for travelling, covers a good range and best of all, its a fullframe lens, thus no more headache considering about selling away all your DX lenses when you upgrade to a D700 or D3! 

Probably dude to lack of marketing, and awareness, this lens is not seen often locally in the 2nd hand market. Quite a pity really, because it offers very good image quality, tested on a D3, resolution remains high when zoomed in and viewed at 100%. Do note as well this lens is equiped with one of nikon's best technology.. ED glass, needless to say we all know how good and important they are thats why the 70-200VR uses 5 ED glass element, and the 70-200VR2 uses 7 ED glass elements.

A lens that doesnt appear often for sale, in good condition except of some fading of the golden nikon words, definitely worth its price.
